    (1883 –1923) was a Czech humorist, satirist, writer and anarchist best known for his novel The Good Soldier Švejk, an unfinished collection of farcical incidents about a soldier in World War I and a satire on the ineptitude of authority figures.

    Karel Nepras (1932 – 2002) was a Czech graphic, sculptor and artist.
    Unfortunately he died before finalising the statue.
    His daughter, Karolina Neprasova finalised the work.
Description:

The statue of Jaroslav Hašek is an equestrian statue, installed at Prokopovo náměstí in the Žižkov district of Prague, in an area where Hašek lived during writing of his famous novel The Good Soldier Švejk.
