Memorial WW I

This monument named the Victory, showing a Moroccan and a French cavalryman shaking hands, thereby representing the French-Moroccan brotherhood, was inaugurated in Casablanca in 1924. When Morocco became independent in 1961, the monument was broken down and was rebuilt in 1965 in Senlis, where the Moroccan Spahi regiment was based during World War I.
