(1723–1803) was a prominent Sikh leader during the period of the Sikh Confederacy, the Ramgarhia Misl. Jassa Singh built a mud fort called Ram Rauni at Amritsar, later renamed Ramgarh, from which he took his new name. Later he turned his attention to the area around the Jamna river and Delhi, briefly holding control of the latter.
