(1882 – 1951), joined the side of Madero right from the start of the revolution. After the assassination of Madero he became a commander in the Constitutional Army of Carranza and provisional governor of the state Zacatecas. In the 1920’s he fought the Huerta insurgency and in the Cristero War and was promoted general of the Mexican Army. From 1940 to 1944 he was governor of Zacatecas for the second time. He died (a natural death, sic) in 1951.
