Pacheco, Plinio

(1926–2002), director of the New Jerusalem Theater, a small replica of Jerusalem, which hosts an outdoor Passion of Christ performance every Easter. The white (stone and concrete) equestrian statue in New Jerusalem (Pernambuco) by an unknown sculptor shows Plínio Pacheco directing a scene while using a megaphone. It is the only equestrian statue I know with this attribute.
