(1825–1885), was the second prime minister of Nepal from the Rana dynasty. As per the family laws of succession, he succeeded his elder brother Jung Bahadur following the latter’s death in 1877. He was assassinated by his nephews, the sons of Dhir Shamsher, during a coup d’état in 1885, and was succeeded by his nephew, Bir Shamsher.
