Description:
The statue of Prince Consort in Glasgow by Carlo Marochetti was so admired by queen Victoria that she commanded that a copy should be made and erected on Smith’s Lawn in Windsor. It must be said that this statue by Joseph Boehm very much looks the same as the statue in Glasgow. This statue in Windsor was presented to Queen Victoria by ” the daughters of Her Empire” as part of their jubilee offering.
