Bahadur, Scindia Alijah

(1876 –1925) was the 5th Maharaja of Gwalior belonging to the Scindian dynasty of the Marathas. He acceded to the throne in 1886 and ruled to his death in 1925. The British Government saw him as a progressive ruler of a princely state.
