This equestrian statue of Julius Caesar, the legendary founder of Olomouc, was created by Schauberger as part of one of the Baroque fountains in this town. The talented sculptor created this masterpiece when he was only 24 years old. The inspiration for the piece was the sculpture in the Vatican of Constantine the Great by Gian Lorenzo Bernini (Constantine in the Vatican and Louis XIV for Versailles)
