Description:
The statue of Ferdinand, originally erected in Algeria, was sent back to France when Algeria became independent. It now stands in Neuilly-sur-Seine.
A replica of the statue was originally placed in Paris, from where it was removed after the 1848 revolution to Versailles. There it stood without a pedestal in the court of the Petite Orangerie, until it was moved to its present location in Eu in 1971.
