Galicia, Daniel of

(1201-1255) was the first ‘King of Rus’. He united the Western lands, stopped civil wars of the boyars in the region and prevented the Tatar-Mongol hordes from invading West Europe. Because of his wisdom he was called the ‘Second Salomon’.
