Gogaji

(also known as Jahar Veer Gogga), a Chauhan Rajput born around 900, is a folk deity, worshiped in Rajasthan, the Punjab region and Uttarpradesh. He is a warrior-hero of the region, venerated as a saint and a ‘snake-god’, worshiped as a peer among Hindus and Muslims. Almost every village in Rajashtan has a Than, a sacred place dedicated to him.
